Editorial Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This policy explains how Anime4KWall chooses, describes, and updates wallpaper pages. It exists so category and wallpaper URLs stay useful to readers — not so we can generate thousands of near-duplicate pages.
1. What we publish
- Wallpaper pages for published files that have a real image or live preview.
- Category and collection landings that contain enough wallpapers to browse (thin or empty listings are marked noindex).
- Guides that answer a practical question (resolution, orientation, iPhone/Android setup, AMOLED, blur).
- Policy pages (about, privacy, terms, cookies, DMCA, this editorial policy).
We do not publish empty search URLs, duplicate sort/filter copies, or tag pages whose only content is a keyword repeated in a paragraph.
2. How wallpapers are chosen
Files enter the catalog through staff upload or moderated community submission. We look for a usable still (or live file), a title that is not a camera hash, and a category that matches the subject. We do not invent anime credits, official studio partnerships, or reviews that nobody wrote.
3. How we describe a wallpaper
Detail pages combine:
- Stored fields (title, category, tags, width, height, format, orientation, file size, character/anime labels when present).
- Original notes about how that orientation and contrast behave on phones vs desktops vs OLED.
- Series context only when the title, category, or tags actually point at that series.
We do not swap a character name into the same paragraph a thousand times. If metadata is missing, we say so and point at the preview.
4. Categories and collections
Categories group similar files (series, device type, resolution, visual theme). Collections are curated subsets. Landing copy is unique per series or theme. Related character links are built from names that actually appear on wallpapers in that category.
5. Metadata checks
When an upload includes a file, we read dimensions and format from the image when possible. Resolution labels (4K / 2K / Full HD) follow pixel size, not the filename. Alt text describes the subject we know (character, series, orientation, dark/AMOLED) instead of stuffing “HD wallpaper 4K wallpaper.”
6. Updates
New wallpapers appear in Latest. Titles, categories, and broken images are corrected when reported. Guides are revised when OS steps change. This policy is dated at the top when we change the process.
7. Corrections and takedowns
Use Contact for factual errors on a page. Rights holders should follow DMCA. We remove or disable material after a valid notice; we do not claim we own the underlying anime.
